Business and industry restructure and development specialist, Ian McMillan (currently the Chief Operating Officer of Green Invest and CEO of GreenPlumbers), has been appointed Group Managing Director by Green Invest Limited (ASX:GNV). With a proven track record of transforming large under performing businesses, Ian brings the focus, attention and leadership required for the integration and acquisition of the businesses in Green Invest.
Green Invest, which listed on the ASX in February 2008, comprises of Nextgen, Australia’s No. 1 environmental broking company, and Green Plumbers, Australia’s No. 1 environmental products and installation business.
“As Group Managing Director, I aim to have both businesses prosper and benefit from each other’s activity and hence grow the Group even further,” said Ian.
The vision for Green Invest is to establish a market leading, integrated portfolio of complementary businesses across key elements of the environmental services and commodities value chain.
Ian brings a wealth of business experience in both the private and public business arenas. For over a decade he held a number of divisional chief executive positions in Australian corporations, including Coles Myer Ltd and Pauls Ltd. In 2001, Ian applied his corporate ‘heavyweight’ expertise to found his own business development and restructure specialist company, ClearGoal Associates.
Ian has also been instrumental in developing the GreenPlumbers’ US operations. He is well placed to enable the business to capitalise on the many opportunities presenting themselves to Green Invest both nationally and internationally, as well as to ensure ongoing efficiencies in resources, systems and costs.
